ABOUT LIVE, LAUGH, THRIVE

Hi!  Welcome to my new blog site.  I hope you will use it as your go-to resource for all things Healthy + Lifestyle.  Whether you’re looking for inspiration with your current diet + exercise routine, need an uplift to your day, have a desire to spice things up in the kitchen + get cooking, or are seeking advice and insights; I’m your girl!

Live, Laugh, Thrive is a place for those looking to incorporate my philosophy of “Living Your Best Life” into their daily lives; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.  I truly believe that each of us have a BluePrint, a “DNA” and that with that schematic to life, if followed, we can truly achieve balance + contentment.

I honestly + truly believe that the best of things in the world are ones that reveal who you truly are; openly & honestly. I cannot wait to share my ideas, experiences, and adventures with you!

ABOUT ME

I was born in Cape Town, South Africa to two incredible and amazing parents.  I love them dearly, and they are still very much together to this very day (29 years in August, Woohoo!).

Much of my childhood was spent outdoors with little of luxury that my two boys experience.  Believe it or not, growing up South African meant living in the Jungle.  There may not have been any hanging vines to swing off of, but there was always a tree to climb or fall out of (this happened several times).  My fondest memories as a child were the weekly trip up the hillside to pick prickly pear (a real treat), or pulse pounding action in finding myself face to face with a King Cobra.  Yep, life was an adventure and it still is!

Not one to worry about getting dirty, you can now find me puddle jumping with my two boys, enjoying a good pillow fight with friends, fishing on the Fraser River, or taking in a little exercise on horseback. I have a great love for the outdoors, and I try to spend as much time as possible enjoying nature. I’d say I’m a down home girl, with a fun loving and spontaneous personality; I enjoy life to the fullest.  I’m working on passing this infectious love for life to my boys and really hope that they’ll run with it!  Oh and I can’t forget, my hubby… love the man.  He’s such a complicated and lovable soul – my rock.  We’ll be married 3 years this year, and has it ever been an amazing journey!
